Resilient Leadership in a Time of Change: Navigating Stress, Conflict and Renewal in Ministry

Across the Montana Synod, many leaders, pastors, deacons, LPA’s and lay leaders, are facing the deep challenges of ministry in a rapidly changing church. Congregations are growing smaller, political divides are widening, and the call to serve is heavier than ever. In this gathering, we will come together to acknowledge the toll of this season, explore new ways to meet stress and conflict, and strengthen our spiritual and emotional resilience as leaders. Using a trauma-aware, spiritually grounded approach, this experience will weave together gentle teaching, group dialogue, and spiritual practices. While we will draw from the Enneagram as a tool to help understand how people respond differently to pressure and conflict, it will not be the focus—rather, it will serve as a quiet guide for deeper insight into our own leadership and relationships.

In addition to worship and sessions with Desta , you will have time for relaxing by the fire, x-country skiing or snowshoeing, hiking, warming up in the beautiful FLBC sauna, and great food! Come join us for a wonderful educational get-away!
