SAFETY INFORMATION

As we prepare for 2021 Summer Camp, please know that FLBC is implementing the following precautions to keep safety as our #1 priority.

  • FLBC will be reducing the number of campers we will take this year by over 50%, so please register early!
  • All campers, staff, and volunteers will turn in a health screening form, and temperatures will be taken upon arriving at camp.
  • Summer youth camp will revolve around small “pods” of campers in a cabin group or adventure camp. The pod will do everything together and will learn to live in community through fun, formative, and engaging activities. Worships may still take place in a large group setting, with extra precautions to preserve safety (masking while singing, diligent physical distancing between pods, splitting worships into multiple sessions if necessary, etc.).
  • Staffers and campers will wear face masks when indoors and when distancing between pods cannot be kept.
  • Many meals and nearly all activities will take place outside.
  • Staff and campers will take great care in washing hands frequently.
  • Thorough camp sanitization procedures, including frequent disinfecting of high-touch surfaces.
  • We will have the same nurses on-site all summer.
  • The number of weekly volunteers and pastors on-site will be limited and will only engage with campers from a distance (i.e. helping plan and lead worship and assisting with Bible study in a distanced manner). We hope to be able to host a full volunteer roster in the summer of 2022!
  • Camper drop-off and pick-up processes will be streamlined.
  • There will be no closing program for parents at the end of the week.
  • Other visitors will be extremely limited at camp, and only allowed by appointment and when accompanied by a year-round staff member.

If you are attending an upcoming retreat, please watch this orientation video before arrival.
